Honeymoon Beauty Essentials | Makeup

As some of you will already know, I recently got married to this wonderful stud the week after our graduation from Southern Methodist University. After flooding the church with many happy tears and breaking out some sexy dance moves at our reception, we flew off to Costa Rica for our honeymoon!
I'm usually one of those people who unnecessarily packs my entire life with me. What if there are mosquitos and I get West Nile? What if someone falls and I happen to need a full reel of gauze? Bringing a full length ball gown is totally acceptable. You know, for when we are casually invited to a swanky Costa Rican cocktail hour with my gurllll Queen B.
Same goes for makeup. I'll pack a billion fun palettes and lipsticks and then will end up wearing pretty much the same look and the same products every day. For this trip, I packed enough to spice up a look or two but was proud that I mostly sticked with the essentials.

The beauty breakdown:

Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer- silky smooth, lightweight and fills pores to create a flawless base for foundation. Great for hot, humid summer honey moon destinations.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation- gives skin a dewy but effortless and perfected skin-like appearance. Blends beautifully and makes skin appear radiant!

Makeup Forever HD Pressed Powder- I loved setting my foundation with this transluscent powder. Doesn't overly mattify the skin and looks great in pictures!

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer- my new holy grail concealer that is so breathable despite its thick consistency. Covers dark circles and pimples like a dream!

Benefit Watts Up! Highlighter- a gorgeous champagne highlighting stick that gives cheekbones a beautiful glow.

NARS Laguna Bronzer- My favorite bronzer for any season! Gives the cheeks and face a natural sun-kissed appearance and very finely-milled!

Sonia Kashuk Cheek Duo in "Glisten"- A stunning coral blush on one side and a shimmering, highlighting bronzer that's great for kicking your favorite bronzer or contour up a notch. Check out my full review of this duo in this blog post.

MAC Painterly Paint Pot- I will probably bring this little baby to the grave with me. This eye primer is a jack of all trades with awesome priming power and opaque, creamy coverage for veiny or red eye lids.

Lorac Pro Palette- my favorite palette for traveling hands down. Includes a row of 8 matte shades and 8 shimmery shades to create an endless array of looks. Check out my full review of this palette in this blog post.

Revlon Eyelash Curler- I love the comfortable grip so that the metal doesn't dig into your hands while curling.

Better Than Sex Mascara- Another new holy grail item for me that I fall in love with more every day. Creates stunning length and volume for lashes! I died when I saw the hilarious commercial for this product. DIED.

NYC Liquid Eyeliner- For a drugstore liquid eyeliner, this this is pretty much beyond belief. Great staying power (not water-proof though), super black and the wand is really simple to use.

Trim Beauty Care Wide Grip Tweezers- I love the circular grip that makes tweezing those difficult sneaky hairs a cinch.

C.O Bigelow Rose Salve- one of my favorite lip balms for dry or chapped lips. Check out my full review in this blog post.

MAC Lipstick in "Faux"- a gorgeous mauve rose-nude color.

MAC lipstick in "Blankety"- one of my all-time favorite creamy nude lipsticks with a pinky-beige undertone.

Makeup Forever Aqua Lipliner in "1c"- a lovely nude lipliner that won't budge. I love to fill my lips with this and then pair a simple nude-pink lipgloss overtop.

Maybelline ColorSenational Color Elixir Lipgloss in "Petal Plush"- a light pink feminine gloss that feels SO creamy and moisturizing on the lips. I'm tempted to buy one in every shade!
