Beauty Staples: The Everyday Game Changers

Beauty Staples: The Everyday Game Changers I've been keeping to a pretty steady makeup routine these days. I've found a great crop of products that I religiously apply in my everyday routine--and know that they will get the job done. No fuss, no worries. It's reassuring when getting ready in a snap (my life because baby is legit sprinting now so pretty much everything is a death trap). While I'm definitely not through with trying out new products, for now I'm satisfied.

Some of my beauty staples are specific products and some are just general products that put an extra pep in my step. They definitely make me feel more human and are huge game-changers for any beauty routine. Without further ado...

Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal- this highlighter is like my magic trick that always takes the skin and complexion up 10 notches. It creates that "wow" factor that people can't quite put their finger on. It looks so effortlessly natural but incredibly glamorous at the same time. I apply this to my cheekbones, under the brow bone and on the tip of the nose for an overall glow."Champagne Pop" is also a gorgeous color that leans a bit more on the golden side.

Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray- GIRL. Let me just preach to you about how accepting setting spray into your life will bring about good things. Good things like makeup that lasts all day, colors that don't fade and melting powders seamlessly into the skin. Setting spray for makeup is the equivalent of what hairspray does for hair.

Dry Shampoo- I'm currently trying out Paul Mitchell Matte Finish dry shampoo just to switch things up and put some spice in my life. My go-to is usually just the good ol' drugstore classic, Batiste (the tropical one smells AMAZING btw). Thinking that I'll probably ditch the new try-out as it's soul crushingly more expensive and honestly just doesn't do the job nearly as well. They both spray out the typical white powder and blend well to a clear finish in the scalp area. Big BUT here--the Batiste keeps oil at bay longer and does a nicer job overall volumizing the root area. I love when I turn out liking a drug store product more because my wallet doesn't have to be sad.

A great everyday face moisturizer- moisture is the absolute key to keeping the skin youthful and healthy. It is integral to prep the skin before applying makeup so it and your skin can breathe and get the nutrients it needs. Whether you are dry or oily--this step matters. Recently, I've been enjoying Ole Henriksen Featherweight Moisturizer. It delivers a punch of nutrients and makes the skin feel light and moisturized.
