Current Wish List: Dior, Josie Maran, NARS & OCC

1. Dior Shimmer Star in "Amber Diamond"- I have heard so many beauty bloggers and makeup artists rave about this product! When I have seen it used, it gives the most beautiful and radiant glow and really warms up the skin with its shades of champagne and bronze.

2. Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee in "Getaway Red"- Like most people, I tend to gravitate towards anything new in a store. Let's just say that I am very obsessed curious when it comes to new makeup products. This new cheek product from Josie Maran especially intrigues me since it is made of 50% pure coconut water. It also claims to give a miraculous 14 hour wear and hydration. The six colors in the line all look so summery and fresh. I can't wait to finally buy this and put it to the test!

3. Josie Maran Argan Infinity Cream- Again, I have heard the blogger universe absolutely blow up and throw a party over the sheer brilliance of this product. It's a healthy all-in one, do-no-wrong cream that melts into an oil on the skin. It has an infinite amount of uses (hence, infinity cream), including hydrating lips, as a moisturizer for a the face and body, smoothing flyaway hairs, to set and lock brows into place, as an eye cream, to luminate the skin and can be mixed with a powder product (like blush) to turn it into a cream.

4. NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder- Again, this has been a bit hit with the beauty community and I can see why if it does what it promises. In a sea of translucent setting powders, this one stands out with its special light reflecting properties. Its "photochromic technology" diffuses light to give the appearance that you have zero pores or fine lines. It also sets your makeup so that it doesn't budge during the day. This is a superhero product that I can't wait to get my hands on!

5. OCC Lip Tar in "Harlot" and "Femme"- I feel like I am the last beauty blogger in the universe to get my hands on these little gems. They used to only be available online, but Sephora recently jumped on the OCC band-wagon and are now selling these in both their physical and online store locations. These "lip tars" apply as a liquid cream and set to a super-long wearing, opaque lipstick.
Let me know which products you have had your eyes on!

Dior "DiorLiner" Liquid Eyeliner Pen: Review & Swatch

Dior Liquid Eyeliner Pen in Black is my favorite ever ever EVER liquid eyeliner pen in the whole universe of liquid eyeliners. I ran out of it the other week and went to the drugstore and bought the Revlon Colorstay liquid eyeliner pen (*cough* it was horrible) thinking that it might be the cheaper dupe of the Dior liquid liner. I was so wrong.
In the past, I have tried quite a few liquid liners in the attempt to find something better or cheaper than the Dior liner. However, every attempt has been futile and I always end up coming back to repurchase (about 5 times now) my one true love. I can safely say that in my book, the Dior Liquid Eyeliner Pen is definitely the supreme Queen of Liquid Eyeliners.
The packaging of this product comes in a sleek black pen with large silver writing on the side. The applicator is not a felt tip (like many liquid liners) but is synthetic hairs. They are packed tightly together  to form a felt-looking tip and give slightly when you apply, adjusting to the contours of the eye. This makes for a very comfortable application of the product.
What I love about this product is that you can control how much product comes out. You simply twist the bottom of the pen to make the product come out. One twist is the perfect amount of product for one eye (or both if you apply it less heavily).
The actual product is a nice deep black color. I like to apply this to both eyes, let them dry for a few seconds, and then apply another coat over the top so that it is extra opaque and black. The product goes on shiny and then dries to a matte finish. If you have small or close-set eyes, I would recommend leaving your eyes shut for a few seconds to let the product dry a bit so that no product transfers to the crease of your eyes. However, once the eyeliner is dry it stays put wonderfully and last all day long. Also, this liner is great for doing winged liner and is really precise. However, the key to doing any great cat liner/winged liner is a bit of practice, so the more you do it the better you will get.
One coat of Dior Liquid Liner Pen
Although this product comes with quite a hefty price tag ($34.00), its worth it because this liquid liner lasts forever. Each one of these lasts me up to 6 months (less if I'm using it every day and night) It actually lasts me so long that by the last few weeks the hairs on the applicator split a bit and so I just pump out the product and then transfer it to an eyeliner brush. This liquid liner comes in 3 shades (Black, Brown, Navy Blue) and can be found wherever Dior products are sold.
