Face of the Day: Lady Danger

Jack Frost decided to make his lovely home here in Dallas well into the Spring season (it's still SO chilly here!). I decided to reflect this in my makeup today and combined cool toned brown eyeshadows with a bright, warm lipstick.
Lady Danger by MAC is my absolute favorite orange-toned red. It's great for people who are a little hesitant to dive straight in to the orange lip trend for this Spring. I love how retro and vibrant the color looks on the lips. In order to lighten the lipstick up for day-wear, I placed some of Revlon's Lip Butter in "Creme Brulee" over the top.

Face of the Day: Blackcurrant Jam

With the last remnants of winter chill clinging to the air today, I was inspired to pop on a deep raspberry/plum colored lipstick with browns smoked out in the crease. I decided to keep the lid a light neutral color to open up the eye area and so as not to overpower the lips. I lightly bronzed my face and applied the tiniest hint of blush to keep my skin looking alive and healthy.

Face of the Day: Simple Chic

This is the makeup that I have been wearing almost every day recently. It's quick and easy to do while still looking pulled together and sophisticated. I throw this on in the morning before classes and then I'm set for the rest of the day. If I'm still out and about and need to transfer this quickly into a night look, I'll just keep a slightly darker lipstick and brown shadow in my purse. Then I can just smoke out the shadow in my crease and pop on the lipstick and presto! Easy as that.
